Philip Meyer is a successful appellate attorney with experience representing clients in appeals relating to many different areas of law, including business law and family law.

Prior to opening The Meyer Law Firm, Philip worked at a litigation law firm in Columbia County, New York, where he represented clients in appeals to the Third Department, and was Of Counsel to one of the local government agencies for the purpose of handling all of their appeals cases. His extensive appeals experience includes his work on cases at (1) The Supreme Court of the United States, for which he drafted a Brief in Opposition to a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari; (2) The New York State Court of Appeals; and (3) The Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division.


Through his extensive experience, Philip Meyer knows and understands the rules and procedures of the appeals process within the different departments. He also knows how to identify the right issues and arguments on appeal and how to write an effective, persuasive and winning appellate brief.
